Eric Decastro is a contemporary French artist working mainly in the medium of painting. His work has evolved throughout his career, which now spans four decades. A master of melding pigments and integrating materials in a way that allows for expression and suggestion, as observers and fans of his art can interpret and meld with the artwork, finding peace in Decastro’s works. They are packed full of energy and movement, achieved largely through this clever use of colour and depth effects. He exhibited his work along with artists such as Hermann Nitsch, Gerhard Richter, and Markus Lüpertz.
